Choose Socratify when you want to practice on your own schedule and see each skill move. Every Session is assessed against your Track's skills, and the next one is picked from your results.

If you use both, use Aced for live peer and coach sessions and Socratify for practice between them.

What are Socratify and Aced?

Socratify turns a goal, such as a McKinsey case round or a promotion conversation, into a Track: a sequence of practice Sessions built around the skills that goal needs.

Aced, formerly Exponent, is an interview prep platform with courses, a question bank, expert coaching, and Aced Practice: live peer mock interviews of about 30 minutes, matched by role and experience. Pramp sessions now run on Aced Practice. Paid members get AI feedback on practice sessions, currently in early access.

Socratify

Skills-based progress

Every Track is built from the skills your goal needs. Each Session is assessed against those skills, so your skill matrix shows where you stand on each one and how it is moving.

Practice that adapts to you

Socratify picks the next Session from your results. A gap brings a focused lesson or another attempt, and a skill that starts to fade comes back in a Review Session.

Realistic prep that teaches

Sessions put you in realistic situations: a case, a behavioral round, a stakeholder conversation. When a concept is missing, Socratify teaches it, then has you use it.

AI fluency as judgment

AI fluency practice is about judgment, not tool tips: where AI belongs in a piece of work, how to check what it produces, and when your own call has to override it.

Socratify pros

  • Practice for any company and role you name.
  • No partner to schedule; practice at any hour.
  • Text, Audio, and Live voice modes.
  • Lessons inside the Session, not a separate course.

Socratify cons

  • No live human coaches or peer mock partners.
  • Not a resume, cover letter, or job application tool.
  • No public API for developers or agents.
  • Plans, credits, and Session requirements apply; see pricing.

Aced

Live peer practice

Aced Practice matches you with another candidate for a live mock interview of about 30 minutes, considering schedule, role, experience, and interview history. Practice is free with monthly credits; members get unlimited sessions.

Courses, questions, and coaching

Aced offers courses and a question bank across product management, software engineering, data, finance, and more, plus paid sessions with expert coaches.

AI feedback

Paid members can get a transcript of a practice session with AI-graded scores per attribute and recommendations. Aced labels this early access.

Aced pros

  • Live practice with a real person, free to start.
  • Courses and questions across many roles, including product, engineering, and finance.
  • Expert coaches available to book.

Aced cons

  • Peer sessions need a partner and a scheduled time.
  • Feedback quality depends on your peer; AI feedback is early access and paid.
  • No skill tracking or adaptive plan described on its practice pages.
  • Practice runs in desktop browsers only.
